02 / FIND YOUR LEVEL

Where will you start?

New to AI? Start with White Belt. Otherwise, choose what you need next.

Validates the shared fundamentals: understanding how generative AI produces answers and where it goes wrong, and using it safely at work. Whatever your role, everyone starts at White Belt.

  • How generative AI works and its limits
  • Effective instructions and iterative improvement
  • Choosing product forms and features
Explore this track

Validates the ability to design how instructions, examples, documents, conversation history and tool results are arranged so that a model works consistently, and to evaluate and improve the results.

  • Instruction design
  • Examples and structure
  • Context engineering
Explore this track

Validates that you can automate your team's recurring work without code by combining projects, custom assistants, connectors and agent features, and run it while respecting permissions and data boundaries.

  • Work analysis and automation design
  • Knowledge spaces and custom assistants
  • Connectors and agent features
Explore this track

Validates that you can hand work to a coding agent to build a small web app and take responsibility for running, verifying, fixing and deploying it. This is the belt where first-time app builders rise to a professional level.

  • Defining tasks and instructing agents
  • The run-and-verify loop
  • Version control and change review

Validates that you can implement application features with LLM APIs and manage quality, cost and latency using structured output, tool calling, streaming and caching.

  • API basics and message design
  • Structured output and tool calling
  • Performance and cost optimization
Explore this track

Validates that you can design long-running, multi-step agents and operate them with tools, memory, evaluation and observability in place, keeping failures and costs under control.

  • Agent architecture
  • Tools and MCP
  • Context, memory and state
Explore this track

Validates that you can identify the threats specific to LLM applications and agents (prompt injection, data leakage, excessive permissions), defend against and detect them, and verify your defenses.

  • Threat modeling
  • Prompt injection
  • Data protection and permissions

Frequently asked questions

It's an AI credential, so why can't I use AI in the exam?

At work, you should use AI. What the exam checks is your judgment: noticing when the AI is wrong and choosing the right tool and settings. Hand that judgment to an AI and there is nothing left to measure.

Do I have to earn the belts in order, like in taekwondo?

The order is only a recommendation. You can start practice and mock exams at any belt right away. Add one specialty on top of Black Belt (1st Dan) for 2nd Dan, or both for 3rd Dan.

Is this an official credential from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or Kukkiwon?

No. AIDAN is an independent training service, not affiliated with any of them. We write every question ourselves from each company's official documentation and attach the source document to each one.

Can I practice on my phone?

Practice works on both the web and the app. Mock, promotion and Dan exams are taken only in the AIDAN app after a device check.

What if I'm wrongly flagged for cheating?

We never take a belt back on an automatic verdict alone. A person reviews the recorded evidence, and there is an appeal process.
